Bremer Lotto GmbH Draw Scam

One more to add to the Lotto scam category. My good old “undisclosed-recipients” Email address was chosen out of 25 million other addresses. This is amazing! I just had to share this with you all.
All the tell tale signs of a scam, respond to a Yahoo address, a few spelling mistakes, a sense of urgency and no tickets were sold some Lottery!
It’s a scam, they are most likely looking for some advanced fees to cover taxes or lawyer fees or insurance costs. Don’t bit into this scam.
If you call the number thinking it in in the UK, you may be surprised to see that you will be forwarded to a number in Nigeria.

Congratulations!!!

We are pleased to inform you of the result of the just concluded annual final
draws of the Bremer Lotto GmbH Program.

Bremer Lotto GmbH draws was conducted from an exclusive list of 25,000,000 e-
mail addresses of individual and corporate bodies picked by an advanced
automated random computer ballot search from the internet as part of our
international promotions program which we conduct every year. No
tickets were sold.

After this automated computer ballot, your e-mail address attached to serial
number 07-2724 drew the lucky numbers 7-14-17-33-40-42 which consequently
emerged you as one of first fifty (50) lucky winners in this category.

You have therefore been approved for a lump sum payout of €1,000,000.00 (One
Million EURO) in cash credited to file BL/Spiel-77/07-GmbH. This is from a
total cash prize of €50 Million Euro shared amongst the first fifty (50) lucky
winners in this category.

This year Lottery Program Jackpot is the largest ever for Bremer Lotto GmbH.
The estimated €50 million jackpot would be the sixth-biggest in Europe
history. The biggest was the €363 million jackpot that went to two winners in
a Febuary 2003 drawing of The Big Game Mega Millions’ predecessor.

Your fund is now deposited in an offshore bank with a hardcover insurance. Due
to the mix up of some numbers, names and e-mail addresses, we advice that you
keep this award from public notice until your claim has been processed and
your money remitted to your nominated bank account as this is part of our
security protocol to avoid double claiming or unwarranted taking advantage of
this program by the general public.

Please note that your lucky winning number falls within our European booklet
representative office in London. In view of this, your €1,000,000.00 (One
Million Euro) would be released to you by our affiliate bank in London. Our
agent will immediately commence the process to facilitate the release of your
funds to you as soon as you make contact with him.

    D Conklin,
If one were to add up all the “sums” of money that we “win” in a year we would all be billionaires and probably having breakfast with our buddy Bill Gates.

    Louise,

Merci for your example. As far as reporting these scum bags, well we try to forward as many as possible to the legal authorities and their service providers as possible; however, at least 70% origin from Nigeria where scamming is considered the third largest source of income for the country. Needless to say that the authorities there are not too keen on cracking down on their bottom feeders.
Again, we say, do not respond to any such email and lets put these bums out of business.

  8. Kwame says:

These scum bags are almost everywhere in ghana,it hurts me coz they throwin dirt on ghana

  26. Joep Frensen says:

I received this scam too! I was interested how they would try to steal my money, so I reacted on one of those mails: Well here is what they do: They send you a claim form. in which you could choose for a bank transfer (DON”T DO THAT, Fraud is too easy if they have your details and account number!) or it could be delivered by a courier. The transfer, whatever option you choose, will cost some money, a few thousand Euro, to be paid in advance. They claim that, due to the insurance policy, they are not allowed to deduct the cost from the winnings. So please transfer it to our bank account! You have to send in a copy of your passport too!
With a copy of your passport they can fake an order to change the address of the bank account, to an address that is controlled by them. Then they report the debit card lost, they get a new one, complete with a new PIN code and they have full access to your bank account! If you try to use your own debit card, it is registered as lost, so it is invalidated. You will have NO access to your bank account until the bank corrects the false changes.

I sent a message that I could not transfer the requested amount in such a short time, because I am unemployed (which is not true, but they don’t need to know that!)
I offered them the possibility that I could come to London to collect the money, and then pay the part of the transfer fee, that was used for transfering from the lottery to their company.
Of course I got NO REPLY!

The police here in the Netherlands is not interested in Internet fraud, only if you have really lost money, they will start an investigation…. Take action once the crime is committed!
If you try to rob a bank, and fail in that attempt, you WILL end up in prison, but an unsuccessful Internet fraud will NOT be prosecuted! That way these criminals could go on and on!!!
