  6. Tony says:

I am tired of these things as well. It would seem a simple thing to ping the address from where these emails are coming and shut them down one at a time, as they come up. It is fraud plain and simple, so one would think that these people would be prosecuted for their theft!

  7. gariell says:

    Tony and Antonieta,

I only wish that there was an easy way to rid the net of these bottom feeders, unfortunately, there isn’t. These are frauds carried out on an international level and bringing fraudsters to justice can be a lengthy and at times frustrating experience. The real solution involves education and exposure. That being the main reason of this web site. If everyone just flushed these Emails and ignored the scammers, they would be out of a “job”.
Thanks for your comments people and don’t be shy with the delete button.

I got the most recent of many notices today about a xmas jackpot lotto and I could claim my 2.49m.
This Smith Walker is the same asshole from the other 911 scams.
I usually send them a very detailed vulgar reply and it stops for a few months.

  9. gariell says:

    Robert,

Understand how receiving garbage like this can be a pain, however, any response to these scum bags is not recommended. Any type of response only acknowledges their existence. If everyone ignored their spam they would be out of a “job”.

  16. Wiscosin says:

Hi, I also received a letter from milti-state lottery association Stating that I was a winner of 100,000.00. Stated a ballet system drawn from readers digest, publishers clearing house, computers games and sweepstakes database from north and south america. The address on the letter is from 383 W. Church St. NY,NY 10036. I also received a check for 4,259.00. The enveloped came from Canadas post office. The check is from Silicon Valley Bank in Corporation with Melloon Bank, N.A. Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Robert J. Walcott signed it who is the director of operations. Their phone number is (450) 350-0675/Claims agents is Jennifer Nelson. She has an accent. I think people like this should be caught and rott in jail. Life is hard and people like this just make things worse. I hope you guys dont get your hopes up the way I did. Thank goodness I researched this Scam.

  17. Bill Eng says:

My wife received a letter with a Canadian stamp and postmark, but no return address, from “USA Lottery Syndicates, Divsion of Unclaimed Funds, 614 Rossmore Dr, Las Vegas, NV” saying that she won US$250,000 because her name was pulled in a USA MEGA MILLIONS drawing. Further that the Multi-State Lottery Association contracted with USA Lottery Syndicates to find winners who have not claimed their winnings. With the letter were two corporate checks for $3,977.09, payable to my wife, drawn on JP Morgan Chase in Syracuse, NY. The Payee on the checks is “Republic Conduit” but underneath is another company anmed Maverick C&P, Inc – Corporate with a PO Box in Carol Stream, IL. The letter says someone will deliver a check for $246,002.91 ($2,970.00 in taxes are deducted). All she has to do is to call a Bob Martins to activate the checks and start the claim process. I did not call the agent. I guess that’s when they try to get a bank account to drain or credit card account to charge some fee to. This sounds a lot like the scams reported by Annymous in May 2008 and Matt Rose in Oct 2009, with slight changs in addresses, and the amount won.

  18. scarlett says:

Thanks for this info, we got the same letter in the mail today. The same JP morgan bank, which I might add incidently is closed at that address and have been checking out al of the info. How they got this check to look so real I will never know. but for anyone needing information turn this information over to YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL IMMEDIATELY. i CANNOT WAIT FOR TOMORROWS BUSINESS DAY TO BEGIN SO THAT WE CAN GET THEIR ASS AND GET THEM GOOD.
