New Employment Scam; Premier Furnishing Company

This is one of the longer spam scheme emails I have seen in a while. All the typical elements are present:

  • Addressed to “undisclosed-recipients”.
  • Poor grammatical structure and unwarranted use of uppercase letters.
  • Forward funds by Western Union, always a clue.
  • Funds will be sent to you in your name.
  • .

    I think that the last point is important and a true indication of a scam. Why would any legitimate company have funds sent to you, in your name, only to have you forward these funds on to a third party? Why don’t they simply ask their “clients” to sent the funds directly by Western Union? They would save the 10% they are offering you for your services.

    The answer is simple; one of two things will occur if you handle the transaction; the funds that you receive in the form of checks or money orders will bounce and you are out the entire sum of the transaction or you will be participating in the illegal activity of money laundering.

    the UK and Europe for the best ranges available. We have found unusual and
    original pieces from traditional French farmhouse furniture to clean
    Scandinavian design plus leading UK.. brands to suit every lifestyle. We
    have been selling our furnishings for the last four years. We have sold in
    showrooms and to private collectors from all around the world. We are
    always facing serious difficulties when it comes to selling our
    furnishings to people in the United States of America, some of our
    customers offers to pay with UNITED STATES POSTAL MONEY ORDER OR
    OTHERWISE, which is difficult for us to cash here in United kingdom.

    So we need someone in the USA/CANADA to work as our representative and
    assist us in processing the payments from our clients and we will pay on
    every transaction.

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    1. Receive payment from Clients
    2. Cash Payments
    3. Deduct 10% which will be your percentage/pay on Payment processed.
    4. Forward balance after deduction of percentage/pay to our office in the
    United Kingdom (Payment is to be forwarded by Western Union Transfer).

    It wouldn’t cost you any CHARGES, you are to receive payments which will
    be sent to you via FedEx courier services or UPS from my clients, which
    would come in form of a Money Order/Certified Cashier’s Check in US
    PAYMENT then you are to cash it and send the cash to the Company via
    Western Union Transfer , all transfer fees should be deducted from the
    capital you are sending so you have nothing to lose.

    WILL GIVE YOU THE INFORMATION TO SEND THE FUNDS THROUGH TO THE COMPANY VIA
    WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER.
